Where Cactal came from

Cactal is built by Mike, the maker of UX Canvas, an AI design agent, "Cursor for product design," used by more than 10,000 people. It turned plain conversation into interface designs good enough that people paid for them, and kept coming back.

Its best, most-retained customers were agencies building marketing websites for their clients. Many had replaced their human designers with it entirely. But they kept hitting the same wall: a great design still had to be implemented, and on WordPress-era stacks and page builders that meant staffing developers, waiting on builds, and hoping the live site matched what they had promised the client.

The lesson was clear. With modern AI, implementation is a solved problem, the missing piece was a complete, agent-native platform that takes a great idea all the way to a live, high-performance, SEO-ready, CMS-backed website, without stitching tools together. So we built it. That platform is Cactal.

The thesis

For decades, making a website meant humans learning complicated tools, coordinating specialists, and iterating through slow cycles. AI changes the execution layer, not just the design step: humans provide intent, taste, and approval, and agents do the work, building, revising, publishing, and operating sites over time.

Most platforms bolt AI onto an editor built for human hands. Cactal is designed agent-first from the ground up, every capability, from the CMS to publishing to analytics, can be operated by an agent as cleanly as by a person.
