Describe your dealership

What you sell, where your lot is and how buyers should reach you. Cactal writes the pages, sets up your inventory listings and trade-in form and publishes the site.

How it works

  1. 1 Pick a design

Browse by type of dealership and open any design to see it full size.

  2. 2 Add your dealership's details

Your inventory, locations, hours and how buyers should reach you. Cactal writes every page and builds the site from your design.

  3. 3 Publish

Ask for changes in plain words until it's right, then publish free on a Cactal domain, or on your own domain with Pro.

What a car dealership website needs

Inventory search up front

Shoppers come to see what's on the lot. Put a search or a browse-by-type option in the hero and keep listings current.

A listing page for every car

Photos from every angle, price, mileage and key features, with a button to ask about that car. Take sold cars down quickly so buyers don't call about them.

Trade-in and sell-your-car forms

A short form for year, make, model and mileage turns a curious visitor into a lead. Cactal emails you each one with spam filtered out.

Financing that links out

Explain your financing options in plain words, whether you finance in-house or through lenders, and link to the credit application you already use. Advertised rates and payments carry disclosure rules, so check yours before you publish.

Hours, directions and a phone number

Many buyers come to the lot the same day they browse online. Put your address, hours and a tap-to-call number on every page, and list service hours separately if they differ.

Your real lot and team

Photos of your showroom, lot and staff show buyers who they'll deal with, and a short about page explains how long you've served the area.

Questions

Are these car dealership website templates free?

Every design here is free to start from. You can sign up, build and publish on a Cactal domain without a card and with no time limit. Putting your site on a domain you own is $25 a month on Pro, or $240 a year.

Do I need to know how to code or design?

No. Describe your dealership in plain words and Cactal builds, edits and publishes the site. When you want a change, ask for it the same way.

How much does a car dealership website cost?

A custom build from an automotive marketing agency often runs into the thousands of dollars and takes weeks. A builder template costs less, but you still write and fill in every page. With Cactal it's free to build and publish on a Cactal address, and your own domain is $25 a month on Pro, or $240 a year, with no setup fee.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Every site starts on a free Cactal address. Connect a domain you own on Pro for $25 a month, or $240 a year, and each additional website on its own domain is $20 a month.

Who owns the website?

You do. Every Cactal site is real React source code, so you can take it and run it anywhere. There is no export to buy.

Are these real car dealerships?

No. Each design is an illustration made by Cactal, and the dealership names, people, numbers and photos in it are fictional. Your site is built around your own dealership.

How do I add and update my inventory?

Each car is a listing in the built-in CMS, with its photos, price, mileage and features. Add cars, change prices or mark them sold yourself, or ask Cactal in plain words.

Can buyers apply for financing on my site?

Your site links to or embeds the credit application from your lender or dealer software, so applications go straight there. If you finance in-house, it can also link to the portal where customers make their payments. Cactal doesn't process credit applications or take payments itself.
