What a blog website needs
Say what the blog is about
One clear line near the top tells a new reader whether they've found their kind of writing. A vague tagline sends them back to search.
Categories readers can browse
Group posts by topic, recipe type or destination so readers who liked one post can find the next one without searching.
Posts that are easy to read
Most readers land on a single post from search or social, usually on a phone. Clean type, short paragraphs and good photos keep them reading.
A newsletter signup in the right places
Put it at the end of posts and on the homepage, and say what subscribers get and how often. A small free guide gives people a reason to join.
An about page with a face
Readers follow people. A photo and a few honest lines about who you are and why you write turn a one-time visitor into a regular.
Titles and descriptions for search
Each post needs a clear title and a short description for search results. Cactal's SEO settings let you set them for every page.
