Describe your restaurant

What you serve, where you are and how guests book or order. Cactal writes the pages, links your reservation and ordering services, sets up your event inquiry form and publishes the site.

How it works

  1. 1Pick a design

Browse by type of restaurant and open any design to see it full size.

  2. 2Add your restaurant's details

Your menu, hours, address and the links guests use to book or order. Cactal writes every page and builds the site from your design.

  3. 3Publish

Ask for changes in plain words until it's right, then publish free on a Cactal domain, or on your own domain with Pro.

What a restaurant website needs

Hours, address and phone up front

Most visitors want to know if you're open, where you are and how to reach you. Put all three where nobody has to hunt, and update them for holidays.

A menu that's text, not a PDF

A menu written as a web page loads fast on a phone, is easy to read, and can be found by search engines. Keep prices and seasonal dishes current.

Reservations and ordering one tap away

Link or embed the reservation and online ordering services you already use, from buttons that stay in the header on every page.

Photos of your food and your room

Your real dishes and dining room set expectations better than stock photos. Good light matters more than a fancy camera.

A page for private events and catering

Large parties, buyouts and catering each deserve their own page. A short form asking for the date, guest count and contact details starts the conversation.

Dietary and allergen notes

Mark vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes and tell guests how to ask about allergies. Labeling rules vary by place, so check what applies to you.

Questions

Are these restaurant website templates free?

Every design here is free to start from. You can sign up, build and publish on a Cactal domain without a card and with no time limit. Putting your site on a domain you own is $25 a month on Pro.

Do I need to know how to code or design?

No. Describe your restaurant in plain words and Cactal builds, edits and publishes the site. When you want a change, ask for it the same way.

How much does a restaurant website cost?

A custom build from a web designer often runs into the thousands of dollars and takes weeks. A builder template costs less, but you still write and fill in every page. With Cactal it's free to build and publish on a Cactal address, and your own domain is $25 a month on Pro, with no setup fee.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Every site starts on a free Cactal address. Connect a domain you own on Pro for $25 a month, and each additional website on its own domain is $20 a month.

Who owns the website?

You do. Every Cactal site is real React source code, so you can take it and run it anywhere. There is no export to buy.

Are these real restaurants?

No. Each design is an illustration made by Cactal, and the restaurant names, people, numbers and photos in it are fictional. Your site is built around your own restaurant.

Can guests book a table or order food on my site?

Your site can link to or embed the reservation and online ordering services you already use, so guests book or order there. Cactal doesn't take reservations, orders or payments itself.

How do I keep the menu up to date?

Ask in plain words, like "add the summer specials and take the soup off," and Cactal updates the page. You can also edit pages yourself in the built-in content manager.
