What a sports club website needs

Fixtures and results up front

Players, parents and fans come back every week for the next game and the last score. Keep both on the homepage and update them yourself in the built-in CMS.

Registration that's easy to find

New players, parents and members look for how to join, what it costs and when the season starts. Link to or embed the registration, tee time or court booking tool you already use from every page.

A page for every team

Each age group or squad needs its own page with the coach, training times and a contact form, so families find their team fast.

Directions to every field, court and course

List each venue with its address, a map link and parking notes, so visiting teams and new families arrive on time.

News and photos from the season

Match reports and photos keep members involved between games. For youth teams, follow your league's rules on posting photos of players.

Sponsors and volunteers

Thank local sponsors on their own page and give volunteers a short form to sign up. Cactal filters spam and emails you each signup.

Questions

Are these sports team and club website templates free?

Every design here is free to start from. You can sign up, build and publish on a Cactal domain without a card and with no time limit. Putting your site on a domain you own is $25 a month on Pro, or $240 a year.

Do I need to know how to code or design?

No. Describe your club in plain words and Cactal builds, edits and publishes the site. When you want a change, ask for it the same way.

How much does a sports club website cost?

A custom build from a web designer often runs into the thousands of dollars and takes weeks. A builder template costs less, but you still write and fill in every page. With Cactal it's free to build and publish on a Cactal address, and your own domain is $25 a month on Pro, or $240 a year, with no setup fee.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Every site starts on a free Cactal address. Connect a domain you own on Pro for $25 a month, or $240 a year, and each additional website on its own domain is $20 a month.

Who owns the website?

You do. Every Cactal site is real React source code, so you can take it and run it anywhere. There is no export to buy.

Are these real teams and clubs?

No. Each design is an illustration made by Cactal, and the club names, players, scores and photos in it are fictional. Your site is built around your own club.

Can players register and pay dues on the site?

Cactal doesn't include registration payments, memberships, logins or tee time booking. Your site can link to or embed the registration, payment or booking tool your club or league already uses, so players, families and members sign up from your pages.

Can we post schedules and results ourselves?

Yes. Add fixtures, results and news in the built-in CMS, or ask Cactal in plain words. Versioned publishing lets you roll back any change.
