Describe your campaign

The office you're running for, your district and what you stand for. Cactal writes the pages, sets up your signup and volunteer forms, links your donation page and publishes the site.

How it works

  1. 1 Pick a design

Browse by office and open any design to see it full size.

  2. 2 Add your campaign's details

Your story, priorities, endorsements, events and the donation service you use. Cactal writes every page and builds the site from your design.

  3. 3 Publish

Ask for changes in plain words until it's right, then publish free on a Cactal domain, or on your own domain with Pro.

What a political campaign website needs

A signup form on the first screen

Many visitors arrive from a mailer, a yard sign or a social post and won't come back on their own. Ask for an email and ZIP code up front so you can reach them again.

A donate button on every page

Keep it in the header, linked to the donation service your campaign already uses, so giving takes one tap from anywhere on the site.

Who you are and why you're running

Voters want to know the person before the plan. A short bio with real photos from your district says more than a list of titles.

Priorities in plain words

A few issues, each with one plain sentence on what you'll do, read faster than a long platform. Link to the details for voters who want more.

Clear ways to help

Volunteer shifts, yard signs and events each need a short form and a clear ask, so a supporter can say yes in a minute. Cactal filters spam and emails you each signup.

The paid-for-by line and voting basics

Campaign sites usually need a line saying who paid for them, and the rules vary by office and state, so check what applies to yours. As election day nears, add when and where to vote.

Questions

Are these political campaign website templates free?

Every design here is free to start from. You can sign up, build and publish on a Cactal domain without a card and with no time limit. Putting your site on a domain you own is $25 a month on Pro, or $240 a year.

Do I need to know how to code or design?

No. Describe your campaign in plain words and Cactal builds, edits and publishes the site. When you want a change, ask for it the same way.

How much does a political campaign website cost?

A custom build from a political consulting firm often runs into the thousands of dollars and takes weeks. A builder template costs less, but you still write and fill in every page. With Cactal it's free to build and publish on a Cactal address, and your own domain is $25 a month on Pro, or $240 a year, with no setup fee.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Every site starts on a free Cactal address. Connect a domain you own on Pro for $25 a month, or $240 a year, and each additional website on its own domain is $20 a month.

Who owns the website?

You do. Every Cactal site is real React source code, so you can take it and run it anywhere. There is no export to buy.

Are these real campaigns?

No. Each design is an illustration made by Cactal, and the candidates, people, numbers and photos in it are fictional. Your site is built around your own campaign.

Can supporters donate through my site?

Cactal doesn't process donations. Your site can link to or embed the donation service your campaign already uses, so the donate button on every page takes supporters straight to it.

Can supporters sign up to volunteer?

Yes. Cactal sets up signup and volunteer forms, filters spam and emails you each new signup. The free plan includes 50 form submissions per website a month, and Pro has no limit.
