Your grades or programs, admissions steps, staff and how families should reach you. Cactal writes every page and builds the site from your design.

What a school website needs
Who you teach, in the first line
Grades or programs, ages and the kind of school you are. Families compare several schools at once, so make the basics impossible to miss.
A clear path to admissions
How to apply, key dates, tuition or fees and a way to book a visit, with the next step one tap away on every page.
An inquiry form that reaches admissions
A short form asks about the grade or program a family is interested in. Cactal filters spam and emails each inquiry to the right inbox.
News and events that stay current
A stale homepage makes a school look closed. Post news, events and announcements in the built-in CMS, or ask Cactal to write them for you.
A home for current families
Calendars, supply lists, forms and links to the parent portal and payment tools you already use, gathered where families can find them.
Readable for everyone, on any phone
Parents often check the school site on a phone, and many schools have accessibility requirements to meet. Clear headings, real text and strong contrast help everyone.
Questions
Are these school website templates free?
Every design here is free to start from. You can sign up, build and publish on a Cactal domain without a card and with no time limit. Putting your site on a domain you own is $25 a month on Pro, or $240 a year.
Do I need to know how to code or design?
No. Describe your school in plain words and Cactal builds, edits and publishes the site. When you want a change, ask for it the same way.
How much does a school website cost?
A custom build from a web design agency often runs into the thousands of dollars and takes weeks. A builder template costs less, but you still write and fill in every page. With Cactal it's free to build and publish on a Cactal address, and your own domain is $25 a month on Pro, or $240 a year, with no setup fee.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Every site starts on a free Cactal address. Connect a domain you own on Pro for $25 a month, or $240 a year, and each additional website on its own domain is $20 a month.
Who owns the website?
You do. Every Cactal site is real React source code, so you can take it and run it anywhere. There is no export to buy.
Are these real schools?
No. Each design is an illustration made by Cactal, and the school names, people, numbers and photos in it are fictional. Your site is built around your own school.
Can families apply or pay tuition through the site?
Cactal doesn't include payments, logins or an application system. It sets up your inquiry form with spam filtering and email notifications, and your site can link to or embed the application, payment and parent portal tools you already use.
Can we post news and events ourselves?
Yes. Pages and posts live in a built-in CMS, so you can add news, events and announcements yourself, or ask Cactal for the change in plain words. Every publish is versioned, so you can roll a change back.
